Advocate Construction was started in 2012 after a long apprenticeship in the roofing industry. I started at the very bottom, as a door to door salesperson, trying to get appointments for the Project Managers to inspect homes that we thought had hail damage. I went up the ranks from Salesperson to Project Manager to Sales Manager to Branch Manager to Area Manager. I have worked for a half dozen roofing companies, small companies to large companies, from North Carolina to the front range of Colorado.
My name is Scott Swauger, and I am the founder and President of Advocate Construction Inc.
I never really wanted to start my own business but was rather forced into it.
The simple truth was I could not find a roofing company that had the integrity that I felt I wanted and needed. I desperately wanted to work for a company that I could be proud of.
I had seen it all, from Project Managers marking up roofs, creating damage that was man made and not hail, just so they could call in a claim, to sales managers that could care less about the product or client experience and were only concerned by volume and profitability, to people who couldn’t care less about their clients interests. Everyone seemed to only care about the money.
The roofing industry lacks integrity. And I could not find a company to work for that cut against this grain. So, I started one.
The first week I was in business, I put a sign above my desk to remind me always about the guiding principle that I wanted to follow in this endeavor: Integrity. Always Integrity.
INTEGRITY. ALWAYS INTEGRITY.
The sign still hangs in our office. It always will.
When I started this company in 2012, I wanted a company that would strive to treat everyone involved in the insurance claim process with honesty, absolute transparency, and a dedication to great communication and professionalism.
I wanted to bring added value that other roofing contractors did not have. I established the company policy that any Project Manager that works with our organization will be a Licensed Insurance Adjuster.
Every representative that works for Advocate Construction has this license. Why? Every Insurance claim is handled by the insurance carrier with a licensed Insurance Adjuster. These Licensed Insurance Adjusters work exclusively for the insurance companies. Advocate Construction Inc Licensed Insurance Adjusters all work exclusively for our clients.
